Summer 2010
Alan Ayckbourn confirms Chris Monks, Artistic Director of the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, has commissioned him to write his 75th play for 2011.

October 2010
Alan Ayckbourn begins writing Neighbourhood Watch.

Circa 5 November 2010
Alan Ayckbourn finishes writing Neighbourhood Watch.

13 September 2011
Neighbourhood Watch, directed by Alan Ayckbourn, premieres at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

24 November 2011
It is announced Neighbourhood Watch will have a month long residency at the Tricycle Theatre, London, in April 2012. This marks the first time Alan Ayckbourn has allowed his latest play to be presented in London since Private Fears In Public Places at the Orange Tree in 2005.

30 November 2011
Neighbourhood Watch, directed by Alan Ayckbourn, transfers to the 59E59 Theaters, New York, as part of the Brits Off Broadway festival for a limited season.

1 January 2012
Neighbourhood Watch closes at the 59E59 Theaters, New York.

18 January 2012
Neighbourhood Watch, directed by Alan Ayckbourn, begins an end-stage UK tour at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.

11 April 2012
London premiere of Neighbourhood Watch, directed by Alan Ayckbourn, at the Tricycle Theatre, London, for a limited season.

5 May 2012
Neighbourhood Watch closes at the Tricycle Theatre, London.

June 2013
Neighbourhood Watch released for amateur production.

December 2013
Neighbourhood Watch is published by Samuel French Ltd.
